Upon completion, ADL may be called in to remove debris from the perforating process, as well as removing any possible pre-production impediments such as sand, drilling mud, or emulsions possibly caused from drilling fluids. ADL has consistently demonstrated our capabilities to remove sand from a sand-off during fracturing or to remove lingering formation sand and possibly residual fracturing gel. This process has proven to be the most effective method.
Fracturing in a highly overbalanced condition can push and pack sand and debris into the formation. After an unsuccessful well fracture a ‘sand-off’ condition may occur, resulting in the operator reaching maximum pressure and reduced yield. ADL regularly responds to sand packed wells for clean up due to a sand-off. Foam is applied in a safe underbalanced condition penetrating the formation, lifting the debris and effectively transporting it to the surface preparing the well for a possible re-fracturing.
